Challenges and Opportunities

We work with biopolimers and inorganic materials.

Bioplastics, biomaterials, ceramics, plastics, composites, and other substances to create new materials that meet certain mechanical, electrical, and chemical requirements. We also help select materials for specific products, develop new ways to use materials, and develop new materials.

Our company is certified by the Ministry of Innovation, Research and Universities as an Innovative SME. This recognizes the achievements of DAN*NA in the field of R&D, in one of the sectors that the Government considers «strategic for development and industrial growth»..

Our work in R&D brings new solutions to the current problems of the materials industry. Through the use of biological products, we bring new functionalities and sustainability to the final product. We conduct technical feasibility studies, economic (ROI) and impact on the market. Validations, tests and characterization of bioplastics or biopolymers.

Currently we can produce at the laboratory level products such as lactide, PLA, PHA, PBS, PEF among others, and perform the extraction of plant by-products such as lignin, MFC, NFC, NCC from organic waste. Offering support for scaling up to the production phase.
